 Description   

The Sphinx storage engine is included in OurDelta's MySQL 5.0, but not the UDF (sphinx.so) with function sphinx_snippets() to create excerpts from documents - see: http://www.sphinxsearch.com/docs/current.html#sphinxse-snippets - it would be nice if you'd include that too, since building sphinx 0.9.9 from source does not create this file with your 5.0 package. I think it would be most suitable to add this as part of the Sphinx integration with MariaDB 5.2

We've looked at adding various UDFs to 5.0 but just haven't got round to it - building/including UDFs can be finicky on different platforms. Since 5.0 is now "old", it makes most sense to if someone is going to spend the effort focus on the new versions.
