 Description   

MDEV-29870 backports MDEV-22979 to 10.4-6. MDEV-22979 causes the ddl log issue in MDEV-32532. The ddl log is only introduced in 10.6. I can confirm MDEV-32532 reproduces in 10.6 with the backport patches. Given how the merges work, a 10.4 MDEV-29870 patchset that does not contain a MDEV-32532 patch will be merged into 10.5 then 10.6 without a MDEV-32532 patch either. So we need to split out a ticket just for backporting MDEV-32532 to 10.6...

Hi monty, the 10.10 commit applies to 10.6 cleanly and no conflict resolution was needed. ptal thanks:
