 Description   

The fixversion for MDEV-29502 is 10.5+. But cleanup commits from there should be applied to 10.4 also. The only reason this is a separate ticket is because the bug in that ticket does not affect 10.4.

Pushed the following to 10.4, and will merge to 10.5 before pushing MDEV-29502
