 Description   

The patch for MDEV-29904 was not complete, because it lacked a testcase. It is important to have one because the issue MDEV-27233 that caused MDEV-29904 is not fixed, and we need to make sure any new patch for MDEV-27233 (or similar tickets like MDEV-22979) does not cause the same regression.
