 Description   

Hello, i have MariaDB 10.6.7 installed on Ubuntu 22.04 and Galera Arbitrator 4 installed on another Ubuntu 22.04. Unfortunately garb can not start and mysql error log shows:

[Warning] WSREP: ./galerautils/src/gu_asio_stream_react.cpp:server_handshake_handler():407: Handshake failed: unexpected eof while reading

I seen similar issue in MDEV-28688 and it says fixed in 10.6.9 but there is no 10.6.9 in https://mariadb.org/download/

Also in MariaDB repositories https://mariadb.org/download/?t=repo-config there is no Ubuntu 22.04

miro, MDEV-28688 is fixed in 10.6.9, 10.6.9 will be released in the upcoming weeks.

miro I could not reproduce the garbd issue on 10.6.7.

Could you please share the following details?
1) garbd startup command and cnf file from node1
2) Is Galera Cluster using OpenSSL version 3.0?

ralf.gebhardt@mariadb.com MDEV-28688 is not related to garbd daemon and the issue is specific to openssl3. Will confirm after getting the info from miro

I deleted the virtual machines with Ubuntu 22.04 and started it with Ubuntu 20.04 so can not provide the configs, but it was OpenSSL 3 - the default version for Ubuntu 22.04.

miro It would be great if we get the cnf file and gardb startup command used in ubuntu-20.04 to reproduce the problem.

I do not have issues in Ubuntu 20.04 and OpenSSL 1.1.1f

The issue is in 22.04 OpenSSL 3.0

10.6.10 is now released, including Ubuntu 22.04 packages. Does it work for you?
