When alter modify column, INSTANT algorithm cannot be used

When alter table modify, there is no change in column type and size, but it seems that INSTANT algorithm cannot be used in case of temporal format change.
I attach the sample test file as test.txt.
And in the link above, such as the changes case of mariadb53 to mysql56, wouldn't it be better to add a mention where the INSTANT algorithm cannot be used to prevent issues that may occur when changing the temporal format of a column?
