 Description   

on March 12 something has happened with VMs:

  • buster-amd64-build has lost pkg-config
  • sles150-amd64-build has lost pcre2-devel
  • opensuse150-amd64-build has got libedit-devel

this needs to be reverted.
And perhaps there were other undesirable changes too.

Ok, this would be related to work done for MDEV-25090. I was trying out a new method for updating build VMs and for these specific ones it appears to not have worked properly. I'll revert back to backups of these and install the libpmem-dev/devel package in a more traditional way.

buster-amd64, sles150-amd64, and opensuse15-amd64 have been reverted and then the libpmem-dev/devel package installed in a more traditional way.

Based on the most recent builds of 10.5 it appears these builders are working much better now (minor-upgrade tests are no longer failing)
