The codebase lacks sufficient documentation about the governance of the codebase. Some information is on mariadb.org and in the README and CONTRIBUTING, but it would be improved by adding GOVERNANCE file. Neither the MariaDB Foundation bylaws, nor the expectations of board members are currently easy to find. Bundling the bylaws and policies with the code in a git-friendly way would also mean that these are versioned and git-diff-able. |
