The mac-1012 builder is offline. This builder is an older Mac Mini at my office. |

The "fusion" drive in the mac-1012 builder (a combination ssd and traditional spinning hd) had become uncoupled somehow. Fixing this using Apple's disk utility wiped the drive, which was unfortunate. But then after a reinstall it became uncoupled again after a couple hours. So either the ssd half or the spinning rust half is faulty, not sure yet as the disk utility reports both drives as fine when tested separately. Might make sense to replace both with a new 1TB or larger ssd and forget this fusion nonsense altogether. |

According to ifixit, getting at the spinning hard drive to replace it is quite the chore: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Mac+mini+Late+2014+Hard+Drive+Replacement/32815 Replacing the SSD stick is much easier: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Mac+mini+Late+2014+SSD+Replacement/32646 Both should probably come out. |

Closing as won't fix because there doesn't seem to be a call to fix this builder. I've also removed the builder from buildbot. |
