MDEV-9806 is a crossgrade between packages built by CentOS and packages built by MariaDB.

Hi elenst is MDEV-9806 an issue that only affects major releases ?

I have no idea. Crossgrades cannot be checked on an arbitrary combinations of versions. At the time of filing the report, 4 years ago, the only version provided by CentOS was 5.5, and the only relevant version on our side was 10.1 (because that's where the tentative fix was).

The most important part is that it's a crossgrade, not a clean MariaDB upgrade. I wouldn't really bother distinguishing major crossgrades from minor crossgrades at this point, the difference is only important for straightforward MariaDB upgrades.

Is there any crossgrade MDEV so I could link them there monty, elenst and delete them from this MDEV and MDEV-22320?

Also looking from MDEV-9584 monty sub-tasks that we didn't covered by 4 MDEVs:
MDEV-22315 :MySQL -> MariaDB upgrades
MDEV-22320 :MariaDB minor version upgrades
MDEV-22321 :MariaDB major version upgrades
MDEV-22322 :Percona Server -> Mariadb Uppgrades

Are these MDEVs crossgrades: MDEV-9797, MDEV-9805, MDEV-9808, MDEV-9809, MDEV-9813, MDEV-9815 ?
and minors MDEV-9810, MDEV-17722?
What is minor MDEV we are using, do you want me to link with some of MDEV-9584 sub-tasks?
