 Description

hello,

We were working with the vendor to install icinga monitoring tool. When the maria db is installed part of the icinga monitoring tool, it was installed in one file system and as the request we need to seperate into the different files system such as before going live

new naming convention of FS

/apps/mariadb/repository
/apps/mariadb/data
/apps/mariadb/log
/apps/mariadb/backup
/apps/mariadb/bin-log

currently we have

[root@icinbcclqamdb01 lib]# df /var/lib/mysql
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/rootvg-varlv 15718400 8942120 6776280 57% /var

for backup

[root@icinbcclqamdb01 backup]# df /backup
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/rootvg-rootlv 2086912 850280 1236632 41% /

version of maria db

Welcome to the MariaDB monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.
Your MariaDB connection id is 58005
Server version: 5.5.60-MariaDB MariaDB Server

Question:
1. What is the size of each of the following FS should we allocated?
2. Do we have to recreate the database?
3. Can we just bring up the existed maria db with the new FS?

Thanks,
Joanne

This is not a bug. Please see https://mariadb.org/get-involved/ for various ways of asking a question about or getting help with Maria
