Currently the Table Map event does not contain all of the information required to process a Row event. Adding a new event type that contains the current table definition (e.g. the output of SHOW CREATE TABLE transformed into a serialized form) would make use of the binary logs easier for other purposes.

With this new event, the row events would be readable without the need to process the preceding DDL statements.
