According to VisualStudio CPU sampling profiler, major performance overhead in 5.3

To prove that it is not a Windows specific, I retested 5.2 vs 5.3 on the Linux servers used in benchmarks, accessible to anyone in MP.
Results tell me there is nothing OS specific, and there is a slowdown from 5.2 to 5.3 in the same simple sysbench test, from 8% to 16% , and that it can be reliably seen on Linuxes.
