This is a subtask for MDEV-14630, for a self-containing change to get rid of:

  • STRING_ITEM
  • INT_ITEM
  • REAL_ITEM
  • DECIMAL_ITEM
  • DATE_ITEM
    from specifically one function: ::create_tmp_field() defined in sql_select.cc.

We'll split ::create_tmp_field() into virtual methods in Item.
