serg, should we consider changes in packaging for future versions, like we discussed before, so that Galera-related stuff is only installed by people who actually need Galera, but then all dependencies would be automatically pulled? |

You mean, just an empty package with dependencies?
so sst was working just fine without socat. That is, galera users don't always need socat. And even if someone uses sst_method mariabackup, even then netcat is an option. |
