[MDEV-14385] [10.1] mariadb-test cannot be installed on sid Created: 2017-11-13  Updated: 2020-02-24  Resolved: 2020-02-24

Status: Closed
Project: MariaDB Server

 Description

Technically it probably doesn't belong to MariaDB JIRA, but it affects MariaDB, so let it be here.

Debian sid provides 10.1 as mariadb-server and 10.2 as mariadb-server-10.2, same for mariadb-client / mariadb-client-10.2. However, mariadb-test points at 10.2.

As one of side-effects, our tests fail to install mariadb-test 10.1 along with 10.1 server/client.

For a note, 10.2 is 10.2.7, which is pretty old.

There's a conflict between package names between src:mariadb-10.1 and src:mariadb-10.2. I am aware of the issue and I am working on resolving that along with updating mariadb-10.2 to latest upstream version (it has been accepted into Debian unstable only recently).

This is surely fixed long time ago. Closing this issue about 10.2 in Debian unstable as obsolete.
