Hi, The server will not start if you pass it incorrect switches or config parameters. The MariaDB backup utility does, it starts without warning. Please make the behaviour of MariaDB backup consistent with the behaviour of the server. Thanks, |

Why did you close this issue? I don't see Percona changging this any time soon – afaik all Percona products don't work this way. As we include this in our product, I think we should make it behave as much as possible like our products. |
