 Description   

In order to:

  • Make optimal use of economical resources, by avoiding parallel distributions of MariaDB Server (parallel testings, parallel pull requests, etc.)
  • Make an easier Columnstore Engine Installation & Configuration, without the need of a clean installation of MariaDB Server, to back-up existing data and data restore.

I would suggest that the specific modifications that have been introduced in MariaDB 10.1.26 Server for enabling it for the use of Columnstore Engine are merged with the main distribution of MariaDB 10.3:

It's a good idea, and we totally plan to do that. But it's too late to start such a big project for 10.3, we consider it for 10.4, though.
