 Description   

The task should be completed in two phases, items for second phase are in brackets () below
Create daily tests :

  • populate various InnoDB tables in latest GA version
  • create backup with mariabackup (under write load)
  • (create incremental backup with mariabackup under write load)
  • upgrade Server to current state of main branch of source tree
  • restore backup
  • verify basic consistency of the all tables
  • (restore incremental backup)
  • (verify basic consistency of the all tables)

If I remember correctly, wlad said it's not really a recommended scenario, to backup with one version of mariabackup and to restore with another.
wlad, is it right?

Right, the scenario corresponds to crash-upgrade Innodb, or even crash-downgrade. There is no guarantee it works across all versions.

I have removed the fixVersion for this task as it is one of 5.5, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, which are EOLed.

Please add a new fixVersion if you plan to work on this task for a not EOLed versions.
