 Description   

In the Fedora, we keep pacth for file_contents.test. (in the attachement).

I would both

  • be happy to see this patch to be applied by you, since the current unpatched version breaks multiple packaging guidelines.
  • and strongly courage you to pack those files in the correct locations for Red Hat distributions in packages that you provide.

Leaving priority on 'Major', since it is generally bad idea to pack files into the locations not suitable for given distribution.

Bad idea, agree. That's why we stopped installing these files (and disabled file_contents.test) more than two years ago, see MDEV-6526
