If you try to install MSI package through Powershell DSC Package resource (generally installation executed from system account), you catch error "The return code 1603 was not expected. Configuration is likely not correct". Workaround: setup package using WMF 5 and PsDscRunAsCredential properties. Installation log files are attached, actually error: ExecSecureObjects: Error 0x80070534: failed to get sid for account: DOMAIN\SYSTEM |
