Hi,

max_write_lock_count

Description: Read lock requests will be permitted for processing after this many write locks.
Commandline: --max-write-lock-count=#
Scope: Global
Dynamic: No
Data Type: numeric
Default Value: 4294967295
Range: 0-4294967295

I suppose this is a MyISAM only configuration, not sure though. Can you add to which storage engine(s) it applies?
