Windows service manager has a wait timeout before it decides that service is not responsive, and kills it. The task is to investigate how to handle this situation and increase the timeout if mysqld.exe needs more time for shutdown. See https://lists.launchpad.net/maria-discuss/msg03622.html |

^^ The above report was my issue. So, yes, obviously +1 to finding a way to have Windows 10 wait for a graceful shutdown of MariaDB. |
