 Description   

We made some fixes to binary_installer.sh in 1.1 to stop it skipping sections. This has now been observed in 1.0 and so these changes need backporting.

to test, need to test multi-node install using binary packages and a seperate um / pm system. this will test out the changes to the 3 install scripts
