"mcsadmin suspendDatabaseWrites y" only blocks writes for tables of type "columnstore" and not others. It would be preferable if this could block writes to all table types, so that the backup would remain consistent across all engines. And/or, perhaps this could be configurable (in case some want all table types, and some only want ColumnStore tables to be consistent). |
