Thanks for your report. MariaDB ColumnStore is a project currently operated/funded by the MariaDB Corporation rather than the MariaDB Foundation which is why it isn't on the foundation page. We do, however encourage and accept external contribution just as if it was a foundation project.

I'll forward this to the foundation for a response from them.

To compete with Apache projects, encourage community and economic contributions, it might be beneficial that it also was accessible through "MariaDB Foundation" webpage.

In fact, it might be beneficial that "MariaDB Foundation" incorporates an "Ubuntu" like donation system and a new "fresh interface", in order to encourage people to do little donations to MariaDB projects.

In my last course of University Studies I did a "Master Thesis" about Open Innovation (10/10), and this kind of approaches in my opinion might help.

Thanks for the suggestion Juan. As Andrew has followed up on this already i think we can close this. At this point in time ColumnStore development is driven by mariadb corporation and monetization is through our support subscription agreements.

Ok. I agree.

I was just an idea to encourage donations for specific features by following an Ubuntu like Donating System.

But just as it is, is ok.
