 Description

Breaking the mxs_adapter with CTRL-C forcefully (2x CTRL-C) or a single CTRL-C creates locks at the ColumnStore or can render the current AVRO files/configuration unusable for the next startup of MaxScale / CDC Adapter.

To fix/recover from this situation one needs to use the following tools to identify and kill the locks

  • /home/guest/mariadb/columnstore/bin/viewtablelock
  • /home/mysql/mariadb/columnstore/bin/cleartablelock

and/or

do a complete cleanup of the AVRO files including the avro.index and avro-conversion.ini

Logs attached related to a similar incident.
