Epic Link: Columnstore JSON Compatibility

 Description

Hello to all
I'm trying to create a table with a json column, MariaDb 10.2 supports type json (alias longtext) but on mariadb columnstore I'm wrong saying that it does not support this type of format.
Is this feature supported? because Mariadb columstore is based on MariaDB 10.2 and I assumed that this data type was supported.

Alias for longtext

I totally agree. This is a great feature and it should be supported.

As Andrew stated above, JSON datatype is simply an alias for LONGTEXT. Use LONGTEXT with Columnstore Engine.
