Linux Mint 20.3

Python Version: 3.8.10

 Description

I had no problem in installing mariadb-server on Mint 20.3. Then I tried to install mariadb-python-connector (after many tutorials/guides) using «pip3 install mariadb», with no success.

I have found news about which Mint versions are currently supported, arguing that the last would be «19». Is that true?
I found this post https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=349215 (Re: is from myself) explaining the problem, but also following their instructions, I cannot connect to my MariaDB server.
In your Knowledge Base https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb-connector-python/ too, there is only this page about a generic "Python" connector, but not working in Linux Mint 20.3.
