SQL Error: 1193, SQLState: HY000
Unknown system variable 'lower_case_table_names'

Getting this error, I have tried setting this variable to different values, but still I get same error.

Using an actual MariaDB version (Support for MySQL 5.0.x ended five years ago) gives you a more descriptive error:

ERROR 1238 (HY000): Variable 'lower_case_table_names' is a read only variable
