Currently, when using the aurora mode, you get both the fail-over functionality and the load-balancing of reads on slaves enabled. This can give issues sometimes when there is a significant lag in the underlying replication (eventual consistency). It would be nice if there was an option to use the aurora mode, but only for its fail-over functionality, not for the load-balancing functionality |

won't do since aurora support in only in maintenance mode for 2.x version |
