    Description

      Support whatever is the end result of MDEV-32618. At the moment it seems impossible to support it "natively" in MaxScale as the plugin requires the plaintext password in order for the authentication to be done, same as with ed25519.

      An alternative is to do the same trick that is done with ed25519 that requests caching_sha256_plugin to be used over TLS so that the password is sent in plaintext.
