Knowledge Base login and non-username/password single sign on

From a knowledge base URL, say https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb/server-system-variables/, the login page https://mariadb.com/kb/user/login?next=/kb/en/mariadb/server-system-variables/ shows user/password or deprecated openid url.

When I did a github registration (https://mariadb.com/user/register) I didn't set a password.

Can the login page kb/user/login provide the same logins as:
https://mariadb.com/user/login?destination=node/1 allows google/github/linkedin.

After doing a login on https://mariadb.com/user/login using 'connect to github' it shows me as logged in (logout/my portal/profile) on header, until I go back to the KB https://mariadb.com/kb/en/ it doesn't show up as logged in " Blog Login Signup" in header.

Can the single signon extend from the main site to the KB?
