Details

    Description

      default_master_connection can't currently be set in option files or on the command-line.

      e.g.:

      $ grep "default_master_connection" /etc/my.cnf.d/server.cnf
      default_master_connection='test_master'

      If I try to start the server, it errors out:

      150820 14:19:00 [ERROR] /usr/sbin/mysqld: unknown variable 'default_master_connection=test_master'
      150820 14:19:00 [ERROR] Aborting

      The KB says that --default-master-connection should work on the command-line, but that doesn't work either:

      https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb/replication-and-binary-log-server-system-variables/#default_master_connection

      $ sudo service mysql bootstrap --default-master-connection='test_master'
      Bootstrapping the cluster.. Starting MySQL... ERROR!

      150820 14:29:42 [ERROR] /usr/sbin/mysqld: unknown variable 'default-master-connection=test_master'
      150820 14:29:42 [ERROR] Aborting
