Description
The official MariaDB binaries (tar, zip, deb, rpm, msi) must be "plain", not branded montyprogram, ourdelta, or anything else. This is consistent with common practice (for instance compare with MySQL) where distros and other 3rd parties identify their binary packages by adding their own tag, whereas the upstream binary packages have just a build number but no tag.
Example:
Current package: mariadb-server_5.1.38-ourdelta64_all.deb
Should be: mariadb-server_5.1.38-64_all.deb
Note 1: Currently the tagging serves a function of coupling together a given MariaDB bzr source version with an OurDelta bzr source version. Hence bug #481311 must be resolved before this one?
Note 2: If an identifying tag should be needed (not just a plain build number), then "maria" or "mariadb" should be used.
