      The Mariabackup documentation does not seem to have a page on partial backups and restores yet:

      The process for this should be similar to that for XtraBackup:

      This feature relies on InnoDB's transportable tablespace feature. See MDEV-17690 about that.

      This documentation should include information about partial backups and restores involving individual partitions. See MDEV-17132.
